About DGVCL : DGVCL is one of the leading Power Distribution Company in Gujarat and is a rapidly growing Company with dynamic and encouraging work culture. DGVCL has established Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum [CGRF] as per GERC Forum Regulation -2004. GERC vide Notification No.: 2 of 2011 have notified Regulations i.e. GERC (CGRF and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2011. As per these Regulations, the CGRF is required to appoint the Chairperson. DGVCL invites applications for the following position for its Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum [CGRF] work at Corporate Office at Kapodra Char Rasta, Nana Varachha Road, Surat from the eligible, suitable and qualified candidates.

Name of posts: Chair Person of Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum
Educational Qualification : As per cl. 2.5 of GERC (CGRF and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2011, the Chairperson of the Forum shall be a retired district judge/a retired senior judicial officer or a retired civil servant not below the rank of Collector or a retired senior electrical engineer not below the rank of Chief Engineer having the experience of distribution of electricity. Provided that the Chairperson shall preferably have working knowledge of the vernacular language of the State of Gujarat.
Description : As per cl. 2.14 of GERC (CGRF and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2011, the Chairperson shall have the general powers of superintendence and control over the Forum. As per cl.2.20, the Forum shall have the jurisdiction to entertain the Complaints/ Grievances within the area of supply as specified in the license of the Licensee.
Age limit : As per cl. 2.7 of GERC (CGRF and Ombudsman) Regulations, 2011, No person above the age of 65 years shall be appointed as the Chairperson.
Selection Process: Final Selection will be based on academic qualification
Remuneration : Independent member and chairman is being paid Rs.2000/- per seating to outside or at corporate office of DGVCL.
